Sharks Fish and Chicken

"Stopped by this place after a game at Eastside H.S. tonight and we loved it so much! Wish there was one in south Austin. Shrimp, catfish, and chicken tenders are so flavorful and hush puppies, Mac and cheese, and fried okra were all 10/10. Be sure to get their hot sauce. Fried perfectly in clean oil and packaged with care since we got a to-go order. Can’t ask for much more. We will be back!"

"We ordered online and we never received notice that our food was ready. We were very close, 2 minute drive. We went to pick it up anyway toward the end of the window we were given by the app thinking there’s no way it wasn’t ready. It was ready despite never being notified and was sitting on a shelf with several other orders. It seemed soggy like it had been in the boxes on the shelf for a little while and the steam caused a lot of moisture. 24 hours later, my husband and sister in-law have food poisoning from the fish they shared. Re: they were together for less than hour. Nobody else is sick and they started feeling sick at the exact same time. They were the only two that had fish. Food poisoning can show symptoms 12-48 hours after eating something contaminated. Vibrio bacteria specifically starts to show symptoms between 1-3 days after consumption and is found only in seafood. They have all the symptoms of Vibrio. Seems pretty likely that your fish made them sick. Also, computers are smart, but they are only as smart as the humans using them. An app doesn’t just know when your kitchen has prepared a meal. Your kitchen has to tell the app that’s it’s done preparing a meal. If your business doesn’t know how to use an app, you should probably stop allowing customers to order through it."

"Make a stop here for lunch! Service was fast. Food was fresh and tasted amazing. We tried wings, catfish nuggets, tilapia, chicken tenders all perfectly fried. Our sides - fries, mushrooms, corn nuggets- were all delicious. Everything was seasoned just right. Literally wanted to lick my plate. Our family of 4 arrived starving and left stuffed and happy. It felt slightly warm in the restraunt. But once we started eating I barely even noticed. Only complaint... I wish the ranch and tartar sauce dips were made I house."

"This was my first time trying Sharks Fish and Chicken. The cashier wasn’t overly friendly but decent. The inside of the restaurant was ok but the flies were plenty… too many! I ordered Catfish but it taste like Whiting or some type of mild whitefish. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t taste like catfish. The coleslaw looked suspect and slimy so I passed and didn’t eat it. I placed a quarter next to it for size comparison. They didn’t give you many fries but they weren’t good anyway. I didn’t care for the hush puppies either.I don’t plan to return in the near future if at all."

"New spot in old Springdale, really good! Got the chicken tender dinner and they do not hold back. Big chicken tenders fried to perfection, seasoned fries and I’m not a big cole slaw guy but it was solid. Friendly staff too, will be back!"
