"Stopped by JJ’s today for a sandwich. They are very good, however I was shocked at the checkout when the card reader offered me to include tip but there was no option for no tip, just % and Other. After a few clicks I got to a screen to enter the tip amount - Zero! I am from Europe but I get that tipping is part of US culture and when in Rome… But what part of the service at JJ needs tipping? The guy made me a sandwich and the transaction was over. In fact I picked up a bag with chips and filled the cup with soda. Just put a tipping jar for anyone that wants to leave tip but don’t make everyone jump through hoops not to leave tip. It’s a shame employees are not paid proper wages and customers have to subsidize greedy businesses."
