"I needed to customize a birthday cake for my friend and came across this bakery on Instagram. So far I've tried the pulled pork ube cake and matcha crepe. The cake tastes delicious, light and puffy. The crepe, on the other hand, needs a bit sweeter for my taste. They serve coffee/tea in vintage sets that elaborates your experience here. A nice cozy place for an afternoon tea."

"Came by Sunday for coffee and pastries. Ordered a latte and mini cheesecake flavors key lime and berry mix. Cute little cafe shop. Both cheesecakes you can taste the freshness and the high quality of ingredients that they used. Forget graham cracker crust, tastes like a cookie crust that paired so well with the tartness of the filling. Would be back to get more goodies."

"01-08-2024. The owner at La Plume in Houston, Texas off of Westheimer Road is as sweet as you will meet. But most of all Peggy learned to bake in France and excels. There is nothing else like the baked pastries in 99% of the USA. Houston you are lucky. She knows how to make, shape, and bake the core pastry doughs, makes, cuts exemplary cakes, and presents her goods and cheese cakes with artistry. Most importantly, tastes are incredible, and they linger. "Oui," as she calls herself, is at the front and makes perfect espresso drinks on her San Reamo, such as the staples, cortados, cappuccinos, flat whites, all waiting for enjoyment in visual symmetric art, (and other delicious coffee and tea drinks). Do not miss if you need a break."

"Gorgeous little bakery and cafe! I had the matcha crepe cake, which was superb! I love matcha so I wish it had a little more matcha flavor, but it was very good nonetheless. I also had an iced honey latte which was great- I loved the flavor of the espresso with the honey. The bakery’s inside is aesthetic and a lovely place to study. A shame it’s so far. The customer service is superb here, and everyone is so kind. Excited to try everything else."

"French theme and exquisite taste. I had the almond croissant and a decaf cappuccino. More and more places are not offering decaf, so it’s really nice to be able to order one and with the latte art as well. The taste was amazingly delicate and delicious. I also tried the mini caneli which is a new pastry they are now offering. It was amazing. Crunchy on the outside and like pudding on the inside. Definitely a wonderful treat with a cappuccino. I got to meet the owner (it’s always nice when the owner is in the line helping customers.) you always get that special attention because they are invested into their business. She just opened her cafe 1 year ago. She started baking as a hobby, then friends and neighbors started asking her to bake for them and it grew into owning her very own bakery/cafe. La Plume also specializes in custom cakes and pastries for events and parties."
