"I went there yesterday. I made an appt because I was in severe pain from a broken tooth. I had been there a couple of months previously, for routine cleaning and TOLD THEM I was in pain. They said at that time my tooth was fine and nothing was wrong. So I continued to deal with pain. Finally I could not take the pain any longer and called for a follow up 2 days ago... I needed an appt asap. They could not see me until the next day so I waited. At my appt they then finally confirmed my tooth was completely broken in half.....After assessing my situation they sent in the billing lady before the procedure. She told me it would be like 6k to fix my tooth!. I informed her that I have insurance!...her response was "we don't play that game". I was in pain and she referred to my pain and patient care as "A GAME". I was so upset. She said pay cash up front then YOU deal with your insurance. She said that's how we do it around here. I was in PAIN and was not informed of this policy in advance or I would not have gone there! So I suffered until I could get an appt with another dentist that had a proper billing dept. The next dentist accepted my insurance and relieved me from pain the same day! It was NOWHERE near 6k out of pocket! I had been dealing with pain for months from my previous misdiagnosis at this place!. I am so disappointed with the lack of compassion and the incompetence and smug attitude of this institution. Avoid this place at all cost and get patient care from somewhere else so you won't have to experience what I did. Real pain is not "a game"."

"Update: They are in the new building and it is very nice. Plenty of paved parking as well. I've been going here since moving to La Vernia. Only had cleanings, so can't comment on the quality of his dental work. They are constantly changing your appointments for their convenience. This last one they changed three times. When I was unable to make one and wanted to reschedule, they said it was a $50 fee. So I guess they owe me $150 for my inconvenience. Quality of the cleanings I've had done have been good, no complaints other than a random rotating assortment of technicians, and them wanting to change every appointment I've ever had. Building is run down and parking is nonexistent. They are building a new facility so that will be nice."

"Excellent customer service and bedside manner by every one. Christine is always willing to explain benefits in detail and help us make sure that we have appropriate copies of invoices and statements. She is always willing to help us find the best possible answers if we have to get treatment somewhere other than with Dr. Simmons. Debbie, Grace and Camry couldn’t be any better. Each one of them are always so patient and kind as well as educational and honest. Dr. Simmons has the best bedside manner with the perfect conversations while in difficult situations. Our children actually like going to the dentist and have no fear."

Dr Simmons patiently explained what was going on with my mom’s dental issues along with her gums and dry mouth. Overall excellent care and I highly recommend Dr. Simmons for all of your dental needs."

Dr. Simmons has many years of experience and offers honest, quality care unlike many other offices I've been too. Small town office were they treat you like a member of the family. Both of my kids enjoy going to see Dr. Mark, before they hated to go to the dentist. Give them a try you'll be glad you did!"
