"Porter Family Dental is the best dental office in San Antonio. My experiences from start to finish are always positive and I enjoy my dental visits. Reception is always warm and friendly and the billing department is very efficient & well informed in dental health benefits. They are always proactive when I’ve needed any treatments that would require a pre-treatment estimate so I always know what to expect and can prepare financially if necessary. They make everything so easy when I’ve needed treatment from a specialist such as a periodontist. I’ve never experienced a delay or any issues with miscommunication when a coordinatiob is needed between Dr. Porter and another provider to complete my treatment. Both Dr.’s Mark and Shane Porter are fantastic dental care providers. I’ve had the best dental care from Dr. Porter Senior who I’ve been seeing for many years now. He is very thorough and attentive to my specific case and dental needs and monitors all aspects of my progress, condition, etc closely. It’s a relief to know I’m in such good, capable hands. I recently had a visit with Dr. Shane Porter and it was a great experience. He has such a wonderful bedside manner and is so genuinely warm, kind and very gentle. I had to have a filling last week and I barely felt the needle or anything else during the process. I’m so happy he has joined the practice as I know I’ll always be in great hands no matter who I see. One other note I should mention is that Dr. Porter has well established relationships with other dentists who specialize in certain areas of treatment. I’ve seen 2 of those based on his recommendation and had zero doubts about the care I would receive from the specialists he referred me to. Both were very positive experiences. Both Dr.’s (Porter) are very knowledgeable and I appreciate that they take time to explain everything so thoroughly to me. The dental hygienists are also fantastic in terms of the work they do but also have very pleasant personalities and are always a pleasure to see. They are also very efficient which I greatly appreciate. Overall the office is immaculate and has a very happy and warm ambiance. I highly recommend this office if you are searching for an excellent level of care and service."
