"December 2023: I have purchased boots here in the past and the service is great where they will match your foot perfectly to a nice pair. The main store has not changed where first make sure you do not bring in a drink but can leave it at the door while you shop. An off duty police officer guarding the place in case some bandits decides to enter. The only section that seems to revamp itself is the back portion where now I noticed selling cowboy hats, and there is a stage and bar is present. Allens Boots is in the tour guide so usually full of visitors outside Texas trying to cowboy up themselves. They also sell accessories like apparel, belts, and other western related items. This store has old Austin and Texas atmosphere and where should be on top for list to visit."

"An amazing shopping experience that my friend and I had. My friend walked out of the store with a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and a biggest smile ever :)) All the staff were great. They love what they do, know exactly what the customers want, and are proud of their craftsmanship. Hats off."

"The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and unbelievably helpful. They have expert boot-fitters and hat-fitters on staff. The atmosphere and work place culture was impressive- friendly, customer service oriented and they all work together as a team! Local staff from Texas who know from actual experience what they recommend and why. I was told by one Allen's Boots staff member “they make cowboy boots for cowboys” and “they won’t let you walk out of the store with a pair of boots that don’t fit”. I was in town for a week, so I had the opportunity to take time to make some great buys over several trips to Allen’s. Will, Blake, Taylor, Andrew, Keegan, Lucas, Blue and Layla all helped me make great choices for me and my better half, who was stuck in a conference. Taylor, Will and Blake fitted me for two pair of Allen’s brand boots. Allen’s brand are quality made with all leather materials and are superior to the chain store boots that use synthetic materials in parts of the boot. The fit, quality and comfort in store was far superior to a recently purchased and broken in pair of Tecova’s. I decided to upgrade on the spot and got the second pair of Allen’s brand boots. Will fitted me for my first cowboy hat, a Stetson Boss of the Plains. When you go to Allen’s it is an experience and not just a trip to the local boot store!"

"When in Rome...or Texas....you gotta grab some boots! The staff at Allens was very friendly. The boots aren't cheap, but they are handmade in Mexico. The wife didn't really want a pair, but after trying a few on, she started to come around to the idea, and settled on 2 pairs she really liked. We ended up going for a more traditional brown pair, but they have a huge variety...literally hundreds of each size boot. I would say the hat selection could use a little work...it would be nice to see some more vintage style hats or a bigger variety of styles like they have with their boots. But again, it's a boot store, and they do that very well. Happy with our purchase!"
