"This store opened in Kyle a few months ago and has been a welcome addition. It saves shoppers the trip to Austin or San Marcos. The staff is always friendly, greeting guests with a smile. The store is clean and well-organized. Like any Academy, the seasonal gear is available when the sport is in season. I have not found anything particularly niche about this store, but we're glad it's here."

"Workers are nice, store is clean, I just wish they had more leisure wear. I realize it's a Sports and Outdoor, but after I swim or fish or workout I want to shower and put on cute comfy clothes (not leggings again). Sales rack said up to 50 off, however nothing was more than 30 off most items 15 off."

"I needed some new shoes and I had a bad experience at another store. I figured I would pop in here to see if I could find something. The shoe department is a little chaotic. I get that the store is a little smaller than some other locations. The shoe department is not clearly marked Kids, Women's and Men's, not to mention that the types of shoes are all over the the place. You had to hunt for the right shoe. I find the pair of shoes I need, grab them and go to check out. The young lady who rang me up was very friendly and professional. She made up for my frustration with the shoe department. I did notice a guy in a truck with a camper shell selling Aqua Fresca's in the parking lot. That was a tad bit awkward. You figure the Academy Manager would tell the guy that selling in their parking lot is a no no."

"Brand new Academy opens September 23, 2023. It's not as big as some other locations. However, they have a large assortment of things to keep you busy. It's a good-looking store with friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback is the width of the aisles. Some of them will not fit 2 carts."
