"Gave 5 to encourage them and bypass Google ratings. Positive is location and Punjabi taste which can get spicy hot if red chilly powder is added.I let them know NO RED OR GREEN CHILLIES PLEASE! And they understood 'No means None'. I'm ok with black pepper and garam masala, other Indian spices. It's easy to see where it's lacking. If you're in joe bologna neighborhood then students are your best customers. Follow the same principles.How Joe started with affordable food for students and grew. A casual walk in buffet; clean, hygienic, well lit would suit much better than a faux fine dining set up in my opinion. Hiring a culinary school graduate could bring in fresh ideas in fusion cooking. Mostly all Lexington Indian restaurants including the largest one 'tandoor' would need a lot to catch up with a rapidly evolving fusion Indian scene growing in India. Trader Joe's has some excellent frozen Indian dishes more suited to the American taste possibly made by a trained chef and research."

"Went this past Sunday, we need a new Indian restaurant because ours moved to Somerset. KY. Well I took a look at the buffet it looked okay. Well the food was sugar sweet and lacked flavor. I did order a bowl of soup from the kitchen and that had the heat I was looking for and the flavor better than what was on the buffet. I would maybe try this place again. The hunt is on in finding a great Indian restaurant."

"Tried this brand new Indian restaurant that is located conveniently on campus right beside the cornerstone garage. Had the lunch buffet and was amazed at the variety of food that was offered, a much larger variety than most Indian buffets I’ve been to. The chicken tikka masala was delicious. Prices were reasonable for the lunch buffet but are quite high for the dinner buffet."

"I’m so excited about this Indian restaurant RIGHT across the street from UK’s campus! I’ve only been once, and I haven’t tried their buffet, but I’ll tell what I know. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and attractive, with a nicely spaced floor plan. The food came to us in a timely manner, made with fresh, high quality ingredients. Good portions, AMAZING taste (you can’t beat Indian flavors). Note: The food (in particular the chutney) is more hot/spicy compared to other Indian places around Lexington, but I ordered my dish mild and it wasn’t hot/spicy at all, so they can adjust to sensitive palates. The food is a little pricey, but it’s worth the price, and I’m guessing their lunch buffet would cost less than the evening meal we had."
