Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

"Been here an hour and a half, and just got my food. Waitresses are scarce, but there was at least one that was sweet and didn't act like she was miserable at work. But she wasn't around when we needed another drink... not to mention, my daughters chicken was cooked in old grease.. There should be no reason it takes 30 minutes to receive a drink. I have half a calzone sitting in my pocket wrapped in napkins. My boyfriend literally had to walk around to find someone just to be told to sit back down for 20 minutes after being told we have to wait on our waitress to bring our check and to-go box.... I've written a lot of reviews, but I definitely say this is the worst service I've ever had... and I bet you nobody ever responds to this review either."

"Such Excellent pizza and calzones are excellent and filling. We were extremely disappointed almost to the point of leaving that the pizza buffet has been discontinued though. Plenty of comfortable seating. Plenary of parking. Restroom clean and odor free. Kudos to our server Robert for adding his expertise for a happy visit."

"As far as the food goes it was amazing,but the service at this place stunk!!! They weren't very busy and thank goodness because our service was very slow! I witnessed people get seated and the husband (dad) had got up to get menus and after no one came over to them they walked out! Our waitress didn't ask us for any refills until we almost were done with our meals, on top of us flagging her down for forks . And she never asked how our pizza was and she was cleaning the booth right behind us! There were two tables around us that hadn't been cleaned up for a few minutes, but the one was dirty our whole dining experience! But besides the service at this restaurant in Lexington,KY , the food was very, very good! We ordered Sicilian pepperoni rolls (yummy) , the sauce was a little sweet and tasty! We also got a thin crust pizza with pepperoni, meatballs, and green olives (Delicious)! If we are back in the area sometime we will try it again the food is great and we like to give second chances! "My favorite chain sit down chain pizza places. The food is good and some of it is great. The red sauce is very tasty with just a hint of spice. Definitely try it on something. Pizza was well made and cooked well. Appetizer Sampler was perfect for our party of seven. Nice touch was a face painter doing the kids faces for free. Nice little touch making it a very good destination for a family food night."
