"I came to Cafe Kottu with some friends for a birthday dinner. It was on a weekday. There weren't many customers. It took a while for food to arrive. I think they were short staffed. I didn't have time to stay to enjoy the restaurant. I had to go back to work. Maybe next time when I am in the area to try other dishes."

"First time here with some friends whom are actually from sri Lanka.. tables were dirty when walked in and it wasn't even busy. Service is decent. .seems really new and wasn't well informed 0about things. As we were eating our appetizers another couple walked in and sat down and left bec of the service wasn't very attentative. With 20+ tables and no customers and slow service very disheartening chicken skewers are meh Ambiance and decor and music is nice great potential but for having hardly any customers is not very promising. Food was surprisingly good. . The chicken kottu tasted like penne pasta with cheese everything else was really good."

"Got the chicken 65 and crumbled rolls with fish for appetizers. The chicken was so moist and was delicious. The rolls were also hearty, but they lacked some salt and flavor. For mains, got the fried chicken fried rice, street kottu, goat vindaloo, and lamb chettinad. For dessert, we had the watalappam and mango sticky rice. Thought the fried chicken fried rice was a typo, but turns out it's really fried chicken tenders on rice! The rice was good, but the fried chicken was bland. The street kottu's sauce really tied all the diced roti bits together. The vindaloo had a different flavor from a standard vindaloo and tasted more like a butter chicken, but the goat was well cooked and delicious. The chettinad curry had great flavor too. The mango sticky rice was delicious and the watalappam also had really unique flavors from the jaggery. We did want to try the lamprais and fish croquettes, but they were out of croquettes and the rice and cashews for the lamprais. The watalappam was also missing cashews. It's a shame that some dishes weren't available which might be due to the sheer size of the menu. Overall the flavors were pretty good, and the service was pretty quick. Definitely worth checking this place out to satisfy your Indian and Thai cravings with some specialty Sri Lankan dishes! The interior designs were also beautiful"

"I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu. I was coming for the Tikka Masala but switched to the Orange Chicken. Great flavor and smooth level of spicy. We got some fried rice, non bread, Green Curry with Chicken, Pad See Ew. All very good. We arrived right when they opened so it took a few before they really started getting the service to full speed/attention. They were all very pleasant and helpful."

"Wow! Everything was so delicious. $10 lunch menu with plenty great options. I got the green curry, spice level 3, and it was perfect. Spicy, but still bearable. The lunch deal came with a spring roll, salad, and soup. The salad was my second favorite! I got a Thai tea as well. I believe the meal comes with a complementary tea, so that was another perk. Also delicious. The service from Melanie was amazing, and the food came out super fast. I will definitely be back more often as this place is right around the corner and fulfilled all my pregnancy cravings."
