"I just called from New Jersey, looking for jeans that Old Navy discontinued but that customer service told me might be available at this location. (I was hoping to have them shipped.) The kind woman who answered the phone patiently looked through the computer system. When she couldn't find them there, she put me on hold and looked all through their inventory with another worker. The jeans were ultimately not there, but she went above and beyond for someone who will probably never visit the ON in Houston. I really, really appreciate her kindness."

"They usually have a good selection. It's usually disorganized. Today, we waited over 20 minutes in the line to pay. There were 2 cashiers on a Sunday afternoon (a time that management can reasonably foresee will be busy and schedule accordingly), and the line was 10 or 12 people deep. You can see the line goes all the way to the back wall in this photo. After about 20 minutes, the "leader" appeared and opened a third register, but where was she all that time? That's a great way to lose a sales by just not closing the deal. They've swapped out the old grocery store-style checkouts and stripped it down to 4 registers at a single counter, and it's not working. The girl who helped us was very nice in helping us find jeans, but when it came to checkout time (she also happened to be our cashier), she wasn't capable of calculating whether we would come out better using the $20 off coupon we had or applying an online coupon for 20% off, so I had to do it myself. When I was a cashier, we were expected to be able to do math and provide that service to the customer. Very frustrating experience."
