"I'll never come back to this shop. If you do use this shop, make sure you double check their work. The front desk assured me that they abide by all factory specifications and they absolutely do not. They over-torqued my wheel lugs to the point my impact gun wouldn't even removed them. I had to use a breaker bar to remove my severely over-torqued lugs. Thankfully they didn't seize a lug. They also over-inflated my tires, which is extremely dangerous. Factory spec for my car is 33psi front and 32psi rear (cold). I found my tires inflated to 40psi all around (cold). I could've had a blow out and died. Never coming here again."

"I came here for a few years, doing state inspection, oil change, tire rotation, air filter change. They were always fast and I called in the morning to check if they were busy so that they would do it same day (I very much do not want my car to me left at a mechanic overnight unless it’s a multiple days job). I did the same when a tire light came on in my car, thinking I could trust them given the previous good experiences. They told me to come in and they can look and either patch or replace same day and they would let me know which. No calls the whole day, car was left there overnight which I explicitly told them I would absolutely not want. I call the next morning and they say it’s a nail in the shoulder, can’t be patched, the tire needs replacing. I asked for price and asked why they would only change one tire and not two to keep it even (they were not new tires so changing only one would be very uneven). They said just one tire, there would be no load issue, and the price was quite high. I called discount tire and price was much better for same brand, and they confirmed I would need two, so I went take the car to bring it to discount tire. Well as it turns out the nail was dead in the middle of the tire, very very far from the shoulder, and very very patchable. Discount tire patches for free, I got home from there in 30m and $0 and I’m still running great a good 8-10k miles later. I’m willing to give them another shot, but this was straight up lying, it’s not an opinion whether the nail is on the side or on the top."

"Lucas Tire & Auto is the only place I take my car and trust because of their integrity, honesty, and knowledge. I have been meaning to write a review, but they have been consistent and helpful for years on my lovely old 2008 Ford Focus. They are honest and unless something is critical, they don't recommend additional work or charge for unnecessary repairs outside of scope. I have lived both in South Austin and Round Rock after originally taking my car here and still only take my car here because it is the only place I trust. I am grateful because they are always on point and will be straight with you. They are communicative and give clear timelines/rundowns of the situation after they survey the car and have always come through for me. Whether it is maintenance or a big repair, I recommend them fully to keep your car running well and makes a tough auto situation better when you don't have to question or worry."

"As a female, finding a trustworthy mechanic is difficult. Lucas Tire was recommended by a friend years ago and it’s the only place I feel safe knowing I won’t get screwed over. Now multiple friends have been going for years. They’re very friendly, always going above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend them enough!"
