"Stellar service and top tier sides make this delicious Barbecue better than most. Peach tea glazed pork belly was a unique standout and the brisket was spectacular. Smoked scalloped potatoes were my favorite side! I legit didn't eat for like 24 hours after"

"Wow! The best BBQ in Austin hands down. Loved the brisket, did some fat and some lean. The one meat we didn’t love was the peach tea glazed pork belly (was dry). The sides also starred here…the jalepeno coleslaw was hands down the best! Get there about 20 minutes before it opens to get in quickly and through. We went in December and was chilly so maybe helped the crowds a little."

"Nut allergy friendly. Definitely get here early. When we got here at 2PM on a Sunday, they were already sold out of most meats and then sold out of all but a few by the time we ordered. For six people, we ordered: Half a pound of the peach tea glazed pork belly - you really only need one piece per person because it's so rich. Great flavor and bark. (4.5/5) One pound of chopped brisket - I didn't think it was anything special, but it was good, not too dry. (4/5) 2 Sausages - we loved both kinds. (4.5/5) Three pints of assorted sides - tomato and zucchini salad, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. I didn't think any of them were particularly amazing but they're good traditional barbecue sides. The zucchini helped to offset the richness of the barbecue. (3.5/5) Free beans!! +1 They did forget a part of my order when I asked for a bunch of sides, but it was quickly resolved. Overall, we really enjoyed what we had and will definitely be back to try other meats at an earlier hour. 4.5/5 free beans are awesome."

"My favorite local BBQ spot in Austin! The sides are killer - loved the jalapeno coleslaw, scalloped potatoes, and brisket chili. Nothing noteworthy about the brisket itself but the bar is high in Austin and that’s not to take anything away from it. The shredded lamb shoulder was delicious, and the peach tea pork belly is a must have. Turkey was excellent as well. Had the banana pudding and mexican hot chocolate rice pudding and they were both delicious. Highly recommend Interstellar based on the sides alone. There's a lot of great brisket around Austin but I'd say the selection of sides is what sets it apart from the competition."

"I've heard about and driven past this place with the lunch line for 6 months now and I finally found the time to test the line at Interstellar. It was no Franklin's wait time thank goodness. Got there at 10: 50am, they open at 11:00, and we were ordering by 11:08 so not terrible but if they added another scale, they could get people through that line way faster. One scale and one register will not do! That said, the service was incredible, they had a team ready to go for beginning of service and they were serious about it, it showed so thank you interstellar. I got the pork belly which was insanely worth it. My only request would be to put it under the broiler/salamander to finish to caramelize that sauce on top. The smoked gouda mac and cheese and tomato/cucumber salad were delicious and don't forget to ask for your free beans! Definitely coming back to try something new here."
