"Drove 3 hours to eat here during the first week of opening because I love Hattie B’s so much! The chicken was served hot and crispy! Sides were delicious! Great and fast service. Staff was very helpful and very friendly! The restaurant was full of happy people enjoying delicious food with a line out the door! I wish they would bring one to the Houston area soon. Definitely going back when I am in Austin again!"
"Finally! We have good hot chicken in ATX! Way better than Tumble22 and Gus’s. Hattie B’s definitely has a long wait, but if you order ahead, they’re great about having your food out at time. The chicken is so tasty and well-seasoned. We ordered the “hot” tender plate with 2 sides of mac n cheese and it wasn’t too spicy at all. Decent portion size and excellent mac. I personally could taste a bit of fryer oil, which I didn’t like. I’ll chalk it up to the rush they were dealing with because there were a TON of people in line and they might not have been able to switch out the fryer oil. We also got the banana pudding, which I didn’t care for."
"Got there at 2:40 on a Wednesday, waiting in line for 20 min but I expected such since this place just opened and has a lot of hype. Everyone was nice and friendly. Placed our order for the hot chicken sandwich with a side of fries and the fried pickles. Then took about 25 min to get our food. It was actually the best hot chicken sandwich I’ve had! The breast was perfectly juicy and all white meat inside. The spice was perfect, medium wouldn’t have been hot enough. Fries are crisp and seasoned well. I got a side of honey mustard which I highly recommend for dipping or on your sandwich. The fried pickles were okay, I wouldn’t get them again. Great experience and good location! Will come back to try the other sides."
