"Came here to visit and the food was AMAZING. Literally everything you eat melts in your mouth. The octopus which is very difficult to cook was cooked to perfection!!! We started with the ceviche as a starter and OMG.... DELICIOUS!!!! For main course we ordered the parrillada and paella... Carlos our server is the very best, super knowledgeable. All the recommendations he made were spot on and amazing."

"Excellent service!! We were visiting Austin. We arrived at the restaurant almost at closing time. Our waiter Carlos welcomed us and gave us the best customer service. Our first time, we will be going back! The food was superb!! Our compliments to the chef. I had the seafood soup. “The best Jerry! The best!” We also ordered the stuffed shrimp. They were spicy in a very good way; soft and flavorful. We had the pasta as well topped with shrimp and squid; amazing! The micheladas were something else! Shrimp, squid with lime and lemon slices, spicy yet tasty. The best combination in my opinion overall a 12 from 1-10. I usually do not write reviews and certainly not as extensive as this but this place deserves it! It has a graceful ambience that deserves 5 stars hands down! Thank you Carlos!! Hope to be able to go back soon."

"Love this restaurant! The food is amazing! Super fresh and unique dishes. I always leave very satisfied! The staff are friendly and provide great service. The paella is one of my favorite dishes. They just changed the recipe and now it’s even better! Great place for parties or happy hour with friends. Attended a party they threw in honor of their new paella recipe. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Bring your friends and family for a lovely dining experience!"

"Updated review from visit on April 28, 2023 The esthetics are beautiful, with a relaxing beach vibe theme. The environment is welcoming. All the employees observed were pleasant. Our server Carlos was the best! He provided quality service and suggested dishes to try based on our preferences. He was patient, friendly, and very attentive. The food was fresh, the flavors were on point, and everything was absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. It is truly a hidden gem. It wasn't crowded during the lunch hour. You have the option to sit inside or on the covered patio. I can't wait to try more dishes from here."

"We went to Simar last night for our anniversary celebration. Specifically to try the paella because I love a good paella and it’s hard to find in Austin. This was by far the best one we had without having to fly to Miami. The seafood was cooked to perfection. There was big scallops, shrimp, mussels, octopus, nothing was rubbery or overcooked. The chicken was tender and moist. Chorizo was good. Not the Spanish style, in case someone is looking for authentic, but still delicious. We had the calamari appetizer, which was great and some raspberry drink that was very tasty. We will definitely go back to try some other things on the menu. Service was excellent too."
