La Palapa Restaurant 6640 East Highway 290, Austin, TX 78723

"Quite a bit disappointed in the service (or lack there of) I received today. Been to this restaurant a few times before the food was delicious, service was good, prices are decent, and was becoming a new favorite dinner spot. Today though the experience wasn’t so great unfortunately. The restaurant looked pretty empty with plenty of servers to comfortably handle the tables there. But after I was sat and given chips and salsa it seemed like I was invisible. Many servers walked past me without saying a word, never even saying hello much less asking for a drink or food order. Attempted to flag someone down a couple of times with no luck, and after 15 we just left. The two workers at the host stand, which was less than five feet away the whole time we were sat, didn’t even look up from their phones as we walked out."

"Sibling lunch at La Palapa. The Pollo Chipotle was tender and seasoned well. The enchiladas with red sauce & nachos were delicious. I am looking forward to my next visit"

"The place looks sketchy but the food and drinks and service is amazing….. sat at the with Daniela first time at the restaurant and her taking care us … came back and she remember what we drank and ate since then she made us feel welcome … since then we knew this was going to be our new to go spot , not just her all the staff are friendly as well ! If you seat at the bar or a table the staff food and drinks are good !!!"

"This is a popular place for the investigators that I work with. They love the large number of choices on the menu, the quality of food and the excellent service. A friend of mine said it's a really fun place at night. She's done karaoke there. I had the fajita nachos, chicken and beef. They were great."
