"So....let's start where I began that day. I was at Roque American when Wes came outside to do some stuff when he introduced himself to my wife and I. Afterwards, he suggested that we try another establishment. We took him up on that suggestion. We ARE BOTH GLAD WE LISTENED!! For veterans out there that wish to support other veteran owned businesses, for those veterans that wish to support Texas veterans then you must try this restaurant! Portioned plates, well presented plates! Service was excellent! Quality of the food was spot on! Taste was well balanced! I literally have nothing bad or even slightly negative to say! The locals are lucky to have this place nearby. Please come and support this veteran owned restaurant......as you will not be disappointed."

"I feel that I was fooled by Yelp and Google Reviews. Had a nice trip at the Oasis and not able to find a table, hence came to this place for dinner. The online menu looks fine and the decor was nice. Also the food portion is generous, but that's it. Service is non-existence. It's a Saturday night and the bar was barely full. We were seated immediately and a waitress stopped by to ask us if she could take our drink order. Since we don't drink we politely declined, then she never came to our table again. Food was a bit too salty to me, and I could barely notice the presentation due to the dimmed light in the dining area. We had to constantly ask for service or we're just ignored completely. Mind you, this is NOT a busy Saturday night - and we were served by random waitresses, one of them even didn't know the name of what she brought to us. Completely disaster and 0 service. We will never go back."

"Ordered Prime rib medium-well but was very undercooked. I ate the sides of the steak that look good. But I had to take the steak home and cook it again before I felt it was safe for me to eat"

"We absolutely love our dinner tonight. From the drunk goat to prime rib, and mushroom pizza, burger and dessert. We really enjoyed."

"This place had a few mishaps too many. When we first arrived, we thought very hard about leaving and going next door because we sat in a booth and saw all of the cobwebs in the windows behind us. It wasn’t just one window, but all of the windows along the booths. They were large enough to see that the spiders had formed their little sacks in there as well. We stayed because the rest of the area looked clean and well taken care of. We ordered a pizza that was supposed to have caramelized lemons on it, wings, and a burger. All of the food came separately. The pizza came out first. The lemons on it were pretty much raw. I bit into one and spit it out because I was eating a raw, bitter, lemon rind. The pizza was barely cooked. I think this is a new pizza oven they’re trying out, but they haven’t nailed down the process yet. The rest of the food was ok. Truffle fries were the star. Very good! I sent the pizza back because it was so bad and asked for something else. The waitress was understanding and polite about it. The manager/owner however did not have the service industry skills that she did. He came over and abruptly asked “who didn’t like the pizza”. When I told him it was me he asked “why”. I told him because the lemons were raw and so was the dough. His response was “ok, good to know”. No apologies or attempts to make it right. It felt like I was being interrogated for having the audacity to dislike my food. Wanted to support a veteran run business , but too many mistakes to enjoy."
