"Felt like home! Love that I found this place in Houston. Huge variety of Mexican food! Gordian, tamales (& by the dozen) Chile Colorado, Chile Verde, barbacoa (& by the pound) enchiladas, tacos, chicharrones, lots of different sides like papa's a la mexicana, rice, beans, so many to name. Many salsas & and guac.Mexican & American sodas in coolers. Everything is set up on steam tables. You grab a tray & slide down, picking your food. I it a bit pricey, but honestly, it's worth it. There's a connecting bakery. The place & decor is festive & happy. The restroom was CLEAN. The customer service was GREAT! Can't wait to come back!"

"This is the very first and last time we will buy anything from this restaurant. We purchased 2 dozed hand-made chicken tamales the Friday before Christmas. While they are big, what we were not expecting was the pieces of plastic gloves in our tamales. These are not small pieces. I called and talked to the manager. All she could say was sorry. She didn't sound surprised that this had happened. She did offer a half dozen free but this doesn't make me feel any better about throwing away 2 dozen tamales that cost almost $14 a dozen away. It certainly does add any confidence about buying any in the future. Won't ever be going there."

"The handmade tamales are to die for, I have tried the chicken and pork ( both are really good). This place 2 sides to it, on one side is the restaurant and the other side is a bakery. The cream cheese danishes and apple empanadas are sooooooooo good, they have a wide variety of yummy goodness including personal cakes and cake pops. I highly recommend this place"

"One of the best places to get Tamales hands down. Great atmosphere, excellent service and the bean tamales are the bomb. Fresh hand made corn and flour tortillas, it's worth the drive, just be mindful of the location, lots of construction and not the best spot but you will not regret it. Worth every ounce of penny, gas, and hunger. It's insane."
