"Everything we tried was tasty, but we really loved the Thick + Hearty Brisket Sandwich and the Bananas Foster Pudding! The parking lot is on the smaller side and was a bit busy. Visiting for lunch on the weekend we were lucky to quickly get a parking spot, the line to order food also moved quickly, and we chose to sit outside where there was plenty of available picnic tables!"

"Halal bbq spot in Houston. Yahooooo !!!!It was not hard to find at all. Parking is very tough. So you have to park on the street. Be careful for that. Food was very good and yummy. The beef ribs were a total hit. Juicy and tender-falling off the bones. Briskets were good too. But I am a ribs lover. The sides were good. Nothing special. Potato salad was good. They serve bread and that was halal too. Next time trying the burgers. Service was top notch. The staff were cordial and gave extra effort when we wanted halal options. It is wrapped separately and cut clean. However, there was this guy who was supposed to clean the tables and check on customers which he didn’t do. Just stood there next to the sodas. Weird. The tables were dirty. We had to clean our one by ourselves. The restaurant is also very crowded so it is good to come early than usual time. They do have outside seating but check the weather."

"We’ve been to Pinkerton’s in San Antonio and thought it was the absolute best BBQ we’ve ever had. Hands down. Then we came here and weren’t so sure. Still fantastic BBQ, don’t get me wrong, but the experience as a whole was better at the other location. Place is busy, not a lot of parking in the lot, the street is also an option. Communal seating. Full bar, which is nice. Would still go back over and over if only for the brisket!"

"As someone who’s tried a lot of mediocre BBQ in Texas, I can confidently say that Pinkerton’s in the Heights is serving some of the best quality brisket in the Houston area! It is juicy, tender, and smoked to perfection, with a good mix of fatty and lean meat. Their jalapeño beef sausages, potato salad, and beans are also very good and worth trying. Will definitely be back!"

"Nut allergy friendly, haven't had the desserts but everything else is safe! Arguably one of the best barbecue spots in Houston, Pinkerton's is one of the only places inside the 610 loop that does a beef rib. And their beef rib is killer. Fatty, moist, great char. For four people I ordered a pint each of the Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and potato salad; one pound of brisket, a half pound of pork ribs, and one beef rib that was approximately one pound. If you like bread, make sure you get enough for your table because they only gave me three slices for four people and the line got crazy long so I didn't cut back in to get more. Everything was great. One of my party enjoyed the pork rib more than the beef rib, but everyone else loved the beef ribs and brisket. I'd say the sides aren't the best but they're staples of Texan barbecue. Awesome that they have a full bar at very reasonable prices. Happy hour Thursdays with $2 beers."
