"Make sure your clear when ordering. I ask for the Brisket & Fried Rice but received the BBQ fried rice instead...Honest mistake. Also order the street corn & BBQ chicken. The bad.. BBQ fried rice is ok. I can live without it... Also wasn't a fan of their street corn.BBQ sauce is tangy. Probably good for others that love that style of BBQ sauce but not my taste The Giod BBQ chicken was really good. No need for the sauce they give you..Portions are big for what you pay for Will try again but will pick other options"

"Oh my goodness - I see what all the hype is about! I got a chopped beef brisket sandwich - rough chop, and the brisket was perfectly moist and fatty with the bark still in tact on a lot of the meat. Portion size was pretty decent also! I wasn’t the hugest fan of the loaded potato salad - it arrived hot and I kind of wished it was cold, but I bet I’m in the minority there. I usually enjoy dill pickles with my BBQ but their quick pickled dill cucumbers were actually really nice. I got iced tea, but thought it was pretty cool they had a Jones Soda fountain drink dispenser too! They had indoor seating which was awesome, and BBQ sauce (which was actually my second favorite thing next to the brisket) is readily available in a squeeze bottle on all the tables, as well as s&p, utensils and napkins. Not only was the food amazing but service was on point - the gal taking my order was super friendly! DEFINITELY will be back. This place is a true Texas brisket hidden gem!"

"I recently visited this restaurant that the New York Times had named as one of the 20 best Texas BBQ restaurants. In my opinion, the brisket was quite smoky and tender, but the part I got was leaner than I had anticipated. Despite this, the pork rib was very soft and had just the right amount of sweetness. I was able to easily take it off the bone. The jalapeno sausage was also good, but a little bit salty. However, everything else, including the barbeque and mac n cheese, was perfectly seasoned and not too salty, which I really appreciated. The highlight of my meal was the banana pudding, which I consider a hidden gem. I am a huge fan of this dessert and have been to many famous banana pudding places, such as Magnolia Bakery in NYC. This place, however, serves the best banana pudding I have ever tasted. The portion is quite generous, and the taste was not too sweet but adequately balanced. The cookies on top were crunchy, which added to the flavor. Overall, I have tried various BBQ places in Houston and other places, and while this one was not the best, they do serve some really good barbecue. I especially liked the banana pudding and would definitely come back for that. During my visit, I didn't get the opportunity to try their famous fried rice. I will definitely taste it on my next visit and update my review accordingly."

"Definitely a hidden gem. Been hearing about this place for a while. Finally checked it out. The menu prices had me curious at first. Once I tasted the quality of the slow smoked brisket and delicate Chinese sausage in the fried rice. Clean restroom with fresh fragrance is a plus as well. The lady working the front desk was pleasant and made sure to keep up with cleanliness if restaurant on her down time. Will be back!"
