"I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and when I say the food is awesome and I mean awesome. My favorite trays are pepper soup and stew with goat meat. I am African- American and I drive from Humble to the south side just for some great African food. I will recommend this place to anyone who visit Houston, Texas. The staff are very nice and make you feel very comfortable to be there. Love this place."

"Even though I was late I jumped on the Fufu and Egusi bandwagon. I tried the soup w goat meat and I personally did not like the taste of the goat..(this was my first time trying both the meat and soup) and I think the meat choice makes the flavor of the soup. The fufu was basically like a doughy mashed potato, it wasn’t bad but I enjoyed it better with the jollof rice. The jollof rice was amazing! The taste I had been searching for since having my Nigerian friends homemade jollof. I will definitely return for the jollof rice and will try some dishes from here as well. "In this review, I discuss the service, ambience, cost and food taste. Service was initially good but due to our order changing, negotiations broke down. As a result of this change in order, they also overcharged us. Thankfully we had our receipt as they did not initially believe they overcharged us, and we were able to rectify the issue. Ambience was nice, however, the bathroom smell was heavy and affected our experience while eating. At one point we had to stuff our nose with tissue paper, and that was after moving seats twice. I hope they do something about it. Food cost wasn’t too bad especially with their large portions in most foods. For my fried yam and eggs with chicken (the fried yam and egg was good!), it costs $22. Water was $2 and moin moin was $4 per piece. The moin moin is apparently good (I took it to go) but the portions vary, some small some medium-ish. The ukodu (spicy goat meat pepper soup with boiled yam) was really good as well. The jollof was not it at all. It was just manageable. Parking is available."

"I've been three times. I have ordered the same thing each time. The first two times,I was able to get the whole tilapia fried without the stew sauce. This last time, I was told it's not an option. It's still very good, but I prefer the fish without the sauce. The coconut rice is delicious, and the spinach is amazing!! I could eat the spinach every day. I love the atmosphere. The older staff is helpful but the younger staff is more aloof and soft spoken. Portion sizes are exceptional for the price. I'm glad it's not closer to me or I'd eat there more often... which would counteract my fitness routine. But it's great for a cheat day meal. My rating is 4.5 and taking off the 1/2 because of the disappointment of not being able to get the fish plain. Maybe next time, I'll get it cut and fried instead."

"Decided to try this place do to my husband wanting west African food. The restaurant was clean and family friendly. The woman who took our order was helpful and had a friendly presence. I ordered the jollof rice with chicken and fried plantains. My husband ordered the Goat Pepper Soup. The chicken was really good and in my opinion gave the Jollof rice the flavor. The rice by itself I feel would be a bit bland. The goat pepper soup had a good flavor but was very oily and gave us heart burn."
