"In a plethora of fast food options I was seeking something new. I googled "What should I eat for lunch?", and this place popped up. The pictures drew me in and I had to try it. I ordered the crispy chicken salad with grilled shrimp and my partner ordered the loaded fries and honey hot wings, on a last minute whim we decided to get a banana pudding as well. I will start by saying for for the portion , quality and flavor, the food was reasonably priced. The flavors were amazing, well seasoned but not salty and delicious. My partner finished the wings before leaving the parking lot, we tussled over the banana pudding as it was very similar to the one I make at home, and the salad was the big enough for two servings easily. I've never had a salad that didn't need dressing until today. My partner stated that the customer service was excellent and they even shared the story on how they got the name for the restaurant. This place is definitely a gem and I'm looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. Bonus:It's Black Owned"

"10/10 I got the catfish basket and added hush puppies. They have REAL CATFISH y’all. Not that Swai stuff other houston restaurants be passing out. Very flavorful and fresh. THE BEST catfish I’ve had in Houston and I am a foodie. The hush puppies were good. Sweet and just perfect to go with my Cajun seasoned fries. My food was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back!!! And it was so much food I ate half my plate and saved the rest for later. Also the lady serving me was very nice."

"Fitting name, the food is definitely for the soul. The fish is so good, and definitely get the wings. We stopped here before going to an event, bad move, I needed a nap after this meal. My belly was definitely happy to meet this Houston spot. The neighborhood is iffy even in the daytime, but the customer service was great and the food came out in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place. Jesus, take the wheel, the house, the dog, and whatever else you feel is necessary for them to keep churning out delicious meals."

"1st time visitor. Ordered Triple w wings, fish & shrimp plus Boudain balls. Food was overcooked I.e. shrimp was rubbery, wings dried out. May try again but w instructions to not fry too long. Seasoning too heaving on salt."

"In the area, found this place on maps and decided to stop. Ordered fish & shrimp plate. Plate served with 2 pieces of catfish, 5 shrimp, and french fries. Catfish was fried well, nice cornmeal batter, not too thick. Shrimp are jumbo. Food 10/10, can’t go wrong. Good stop for lunch, or convenient food run."
