"Stopped here on my first visit Austin... it was the mid-point between my hotel and meeting up with a friend. It has a "this is a great lunch spot for people that work nearby vibe" which is actually a pretty good compliment from my experience. Very nice setting... outdoor seating set below street level so would probably be great during the hot season. Smoothies were nice but not very memorable. But tacos were pretty damn good. Not the best you can get in Austin but very good for the price and very fast service."

"I have yet to have a bad experience eating at Thistle Cafe and have eaten here 10-15 times. The breakfast tacos (especially the barnyard and country) and sandwiches are bomb. Today I tried their California club wrap and tomato basil bisque which was also great. Aside from the food, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming."
