"Great place but it's over run by aggressive homeless ppl who gather across the street at a small church that offers resources for them. A man began to yell at me as I was putting gas in my car. He was obviously mentally ill and/or drunk. I didn't feel safe there and wont stop there again. The employees were nice but the surroundings aren't safe."
"I've been coming here almost every morning for 3 years. It's a wonderful place. The staff is always happy to see me! They have an amazing beer selection, great snacks, and all kinds of miscellaneous items for times when you're in a bind (dog food? check. batteries? check. charcoal? check). Beatniks is definitely one of South Austin's hidden gems."
"Wow. Rude. I just called to order a pizza and was told "i'm not the pizza guy" and then he hung up on me. They guy who makes the pizza is nice and the pizza is really good. They guy at the register is a jerk."
"Beatniks is the best gas station to stop at and get your grub on or to pick up something for the road! They have a huge variety of different drinks, beer, wine etc. The staff is nice and if they see you searching for an item they don't have, they'll order it and carry it so when you stop back in...you'll get exactly what you were looking for! My coworkers here at ARA all shop at Beatniks because of the variety and great hospitality from the staff. Keep doing what you are doing Beatniks! Awesome! Sherry"
