"Very good place to visit. Lots of choices to choose from. I had a 1/2 lb ribs which is about 3 ribs and 1 slice of brisket along with a corn on the cob. Way more good then I could eat. Food was tasty, the staff where great to deal with. I would recommend checking it out."

"Not being from Texas we asked around for the most authentic Texan BBQ, we were told to go here. Let me start off by saying I got sick, sick because I could not control myself. It was WAY too good to stop eating. I'm not a smart man, because it was worth every bit of pain and pleasure. Just look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. Brisket was awesome, pulled pork was amazing, the mac and cheese was so creamy, the sweet corn OMG! The sausage was cooked to perfection. It was dangerously good! Nice work team, you made it easy to spend my money here. No regrets but lots of memories. Now I'm going through withdrawals."

"Delicious and so tasty foods. I am an International traveler and travel to the USA a lot and have been to Dallas many times. I tried many places but I keep on coming back to this place for the buttery ribeye, jalapeno corn, pork chop, brisket, ribs, and baked potatoes! My family is addicted to this place every time we visit Dallas, Texas, we must stop here. This terrific incredible restaurant offers a cool ambiance, comfortable and clean with friendly staff. Sometimes I miss the food when I'm not in Dallas. I was like, let's do the review since I love this place so much. Highly recommended!"

"This is the kind of place I dream of when I come to Texas. What’s amazing about Hard Eight is that this place, which is smack-dab in the Metroplex, makes you feel that you’re out at some secret, remote location out in the country. First of all, the smoker area is very impressive. Can’t imagine how much meat they cook here every day. It’s a well-oiled machine. There’s ample seating inside. Service at the bar is excellent. I had a half pound of brisket with corn on the cob. I love the fact that beans are self-serve in the dining area — that’s old school. The brisket was outstanding. The corn and beans were good, but it’s the meat that you come for … and they do that so perfectly. I cannot wait to come back. I see why this made Top 50 in Texas Monthly a year or two ago. Excellent BBQ."

"Some friends of ours in Michigan told us this was the place to grab BBQ while visiting the area. Amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They have lots of seating so don't be worried about lines (cafeteria style). We tried several if the meats and sides and was not disappointed. Loved the spicy BBQ sauce."
