"My first visit. I wanted pho and did not want to go to the same places usually do. I just Googled pho and picked it. I regularly eat Vietnamese food so I have some idea of what to expect. The Old Saigon menu offers a variety of pho but not what I see at other restaurants. I was looking for pho that included beef, beef tendon, tripe, meatballs and maybe congealed blood which they do not offer. I should have checked the menu before I visited. In fairness not all restaurants offer all of those ingredients. Check the menu before you go. You might find that you like some of their unique recipes. I had the Vietnamese beef stew. The broth and basic ingredients were delicious. The meat was large chunks of gristly beef that was difficult to eat. Very few places i’ve had Vietnamese beef stew offer good cuts. In fact only one but pieces are usually bite size. Which is why I scored the restaurant a 4. It’s too bad scoring doesn’t allow at least .5 increments. I would have scored it 4.5. I went Friday evening. It wasn’t as busy as I expected especially for first of the month. And few Asians. But try it. Overall service is good and the menu choices may suite you."

"The food and service were both amazing. Spacious inside with plenty of seats. We were seated quickly and the waiter came by with the menu. We ordered fresh coconuts and spring rolls to start off with. The coconut juice was not too sweet. The spring rolls went great with their peanut sauce. The vermicelli with shaken beef was exactly what I was in the mood for. The beef was nicely marinated and very tender. Everything in the vermicelli bowl went perfectly together and it was a good portion. At the end of the meal, we were given creme brulee on a spoon. The service was very attentive. Our waiter came by to check on us often and was very friendly. Would highly recommend to stop by for good Viet food in the area."

"This Beyond OLD Saigon!!! Don’t waste your money and time please! I am well versed and raised by a Vietnamese family in the 80’s. This place is officially the worst place I have ever eaten. I speak Vietnamese and asked if they have Đa Chảnh (limeade) she said no, I asked in English she said yes. I asked if she speaks Vietnamese and she said yes so she started out just being very rude. Okay I’m American looking but never should order food like I have been the last 40 years. ** noted Looking at the prices and we decided on soft drinks thinking refills - okay this makes more sense. No! You get a can for nearly $3 no refills. I don’t see any Asian patrons which is suspicious bc if they won’t eat there the food is probably not great. As we all ordered variable versions of Pho, I am looking behind my daughter and see the racks, wine glasses and appliance were filthy. Light fixture was broken and hanging from the ceiling. Silverware being assembled by the bathrooms in an open area with mixed supplies all over the place, a hair roller at a table and let’s not get started on the bathrooms. No way the health inspector would approve especially with the view I got of the kitchen The Pho was oily, salty, strong anise. The egg roll were greasy and they served old discarded lettuce and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for fresh. The condiments were dirty, not labeled, chop sticks were all jammed and couldn’t be clean as it was. None of this was a pleasant experience. I’m just unbelievably disappointed. We didn’t even find the point to complain."

"Absolutely loved it! My mom and I came for lunch, it was so GOOD. The staff were very friendly; the service was excellent! As we were leaving one of the gentlemen opened the door for us, that was a nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!"

"Great food and really good service! I loved the welcoming and helping nature of the people here! Very good service and they made sure that they took good care of us. Food was good. Definitely recommend the Vegetarian egg rolls, Spicy Lemongrass chicken and the Banh mi sandwich. We modified the Banh mi sandwich to shaken chicken. My favorite was the Spicy Lemongrass chicken. I do recommend this restaurant for Vietnamese food and I am definitely going back soon!"
