C & C Wings

"I really debated giving this 2-stars however the overall sub-standard experience here really pushed me to give this to a 1-star review. This place is nothing but a rotting carcass of its former self. Food was 8/10 however the quality of the food is meaningless if the atmosphere and service are trash - which they are. Our waitress took forever to serve us, kept shorting us on sauce even when we ordered more and on top of that were shorted 8 wings. We ordered 30 for 60 wings, only received 52 - I counted them. Told the waitress who never brought back the right amount. Above all else, the incessant amount of annoying sellers, peddlers and food flippers that kept interrupting our meal was absolutely unacceptable. We could not go 5 minutes without yet another filthy looking peddler attempting to sell us flowers, roses, gum, pies or whatever disgusting concoction they cooked in their section 8 home or trailer. What kind of substandard establishment allows peddlers to disrup patrons while they are trying to eat?? Nobody wants to be interrupted every 5 min by some Venezuelan trying to sell them junk. This place used to be great but it really is nothing more than a shell of its former self. Avoid this place like the plague, not worth the hassle to wait in line just to get spammed by peddlers every 5 min while you're trying to eat. The management of this place really needs to reconsider how they do business if they want to survive. Incompetent / 10"

"I haven’t been here for years. Which I was really disappointed. I was excited to come back to eat buffalo wings. My family who lives in town invited me to come and eat because they knew I’ve been wanting C & C wings. Well to make the story short the service was extremely bad. Waiter never came to offer refills, we had to get up and ask for the drinks. I let them know if it has always been bad service and one gentle man who I didn’t get his name but was bald said “it was only bad service for me tonight” another heavy set guy mention that “ I should rephrase what I said” I do not think that was appropriate to say. It is not my fault that they are short on staff but the place was not even busy. Not coming here again so if you want to experience bad service this is the place to be not the same back when I used to come."

"This is a traditional, local Brownsville bar with live music on the weekends. It has always been popular with winter Texans and people who get off work and need a congenital pace to @wind down.” Shiner Bock on ( my favorite) always on tap is a winner! Question: Where did the old.popcorn machine go? Suggestion: I wish they offered Gulf seafood and not the other types such as Basa or Tilapia."

"Used to love this place but I’m probably not going back, at least not this location. We ordered 2 side of fries and only got one. The boneless wings looked like leftovers. We had no issues with the regular wings until we saw one had a literal FEATHER - I am not sure if this is normal but we’ve never seen one. Not to mention service was extremely slow, but this has always been a thing I didn’t mind before because the wings were actually good."

"Known for their delicious wings, and 2 for 1 specials, this restaurant/bar is a classic spot in Brownsville. With covid restrictions there isn't any karaoke or live bands playing, but they still have cold beers and great food. This is a place I have enjoyed with my family since childhood. I order my wings extra crispy and saucy with a side of Buffalo chips."
