"The bacon cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were good. The bone in buffalo wings were also good. I liked the size of the restaurant. It seemed smaller than previous Applebee's. The music was just right, not too loud but not too low."
"I finally got a chance to come to the new Applebee’s in Brownsville... Basically we waited for the early crowds to slow down. I failed to take pictures of the food today because I didn’t plan on doing a review. However, we had such a great experience with the service, atmosphere, the quality and price of the food that I felt a review was needed. Normally I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants and Applebee’s has had a rough go of it here in Brownsville. However, I highly recommend this location. I think Applebee’s corporate has worked very hard to improve their food offerings in terms of quality and pricing as well as options. And it has paid off! This is great for a family night, to meet friends or even and affordable full service date night."
"My server was Janell P and the service was not that great. Came by today with some work friends and here’s how it went. 5 times she did not bring our refills, she asked ‘if’ we wanted refills, did not give us straws, forgot to give us a fork, when my friend asked the first time for a refill she said “YEA” while her back was turned walking away. When I had gotten my check, I waited for her to stop by to take my card and charge me (mind you it’s dead in here) and she was in the back (doing idk what? Talking?) so I had to go up to the bar. I’m waiting there a few seconds, and a guy comes up and what I thought was going to be the way I thought, he picks up the phone and starts talking and does not even acknowledge me. He walks to the back to tell someone else that “there’s a lady at the bar,” and out comes another guy. He does apologize, but still doesn’t charge me. He goes to the back to give my card and tab to the server and out she comes. The food was not good and the service was not great. For it being dead I would not have expected this kind of experience. Would not be coming back."
"Great service!!! The waiter made honest mistakes, but he was very sincere. He may have been new, but other than that a great experience! I got the steak and shrimp with steamed broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes, with unsweet tea to drink. Overall a very accommodating experience. I will definitely bring my wife here if I get the chance"
