"I finally had the time to try Comfort Cafe today for breakfast & it did not disappoint. I ordered the special they had which is Waffle Flight & roasted tomato soup. Everything was full of flavor and delicious! The waiter who served me was extremely friendly & kind! I will definitely be back soon :)"

"Worth the wait! You can check in on Yelp ahead of time. Service was very good and down to earth. Turnaround time from placing our order and receiving it was under 10 minutes and that was with a full house. Definitely recommend, and I love the cause!"

"Been hearing about this place since I moved to San Antonio four years ago, finally remembered and made it out. Absolutely love this place! It’s a pay-what-you-can style restaurant, where they ask for $15/entree. Anything over that is donated to help people who can’t pay and/or to benefit the charity they support. And that doesn’t even start on the food! The food here is excellent, the Benedict’s being better than plenty of other restaurants that would charge way more for worse quality. And the chocolate chip pancakes… my weakness. Genuinely amazing food and atmosphere."

"We really enjoyed our food and the experience at this restaurant. Our server was so friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and well made. We didn’t know anything about it and selected it based upon the high stars it had received. We learned when we got there about the mission of the organization to support people struggling with addiction. We also learned that you pay based on a donation. That was such a nice surprise. We were so pleased with everything that we donated slightly more than the meal would have cost at a high end lunch restaurant. We also gave a generous tip as the staff were amazing and also were participants in the program. Would love to support establishments like this one all day long."

"LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT COMFORT CAFE!! You must try it. The mission itself is incredible. But the quality of the food and the atmosphere and service were even better. We were seated right away and didn’t have a wait. There are plenty of tables to dine at. LOTS of food choices. The menu is extensive. We could have ordered breakfast or lunch. All is donation based ($15 suggested). We loved it all. Will definitely be back. Wish they had weekday hours!"
