"Daniel was an excellent server...quick, polite, to the point. Best dining experience we have had in Lake Dallas in a while. Food was excellent, out in 5 minutes, and reasonably priced which is difficult to find these days. Will be returning often."
"This is the cutest little diner. Open seating and simplistic decor with soft fun colors make this a warm dining experience. The service was fast and accurate and the coffee was hot. The prices are very affordable and the parking was great. It wasn’t terribly busy or too loud. Really great experience. Also a major plus is they have the QR code available on the receipt so I can pay at the table- no waiting!"
"I was originally excited about trying this place out due to the pictures others are posting of the food. I was a little disappointed. My take: $14 all you can eat catfish dinner. The fish was decent. No fishy taste and a good crispy texture. Although it did not come with hush puppies. We were able to order hush puppies as an add-on, and these were soaked in grease and lacking seasoning. The mashed potatoes seamed to have come from a dry mix? Not good at all. The fried oakra was perfect. And the wait staff... I could not give a good enough review to convey how wonderful these gentlemen were! Absolutely perfect customer service and then above and beyond!"
"Amazing taste and awesome service. We got approached and told sit down where ever before we got inside. Fast with coming to take your order after delivering drinks and with the short wait. We had ordered the Chicken Monterey, Catfish 6pc and a Cesar salad with chicken. Every plate was well portioned and by God amazing tasting. I see why it's ratings are for and I'm happy I found a new spot on the weekends to visit!"
"PROs: Nostalgic small town feeling/location. Friday night, quick to be seated and served. Whole staff (not just our waitress) was friendly and attentive; good team work. Food was great. Catfish was meaty we did not come across hard & fried flour bits, impressed it was all fish. CONs: Front parking is not ideal because of cross traffic, park to the side. Simple decor. Hanna was good to us, she kept the fish coming when she noticed it was low. We experienced other fish fry places and so far Cowboys is top of our list the other places have been bumped down."
