"A classic Southern diner with good food. My sausage and Swiss cheese omelet was tasty. They added proper seasoning to the potatoes. The waiters and waitresss seemed a little inexperienced, but they were all friendly. Probably my biggest complaint would be that they tried to charge me for a to go cup for my water. Not a good a business practice in food and beverage services."

"I know that it's not a fancy place, simply decorated, convience store with a bullet proof window attached, sketchy motel next door, but the food and service is outstanding. We were attending a Reunion in Las Colinas and our friends recommend this establishment, there was 15 of us and other places couldn't handle us. They were very accommodating, pushing tables together, taking our orders, serving us quickly, and expertly. The meals were so large that they come in two plates. We tried the pork chops, chicken fried steak, breakfast ham, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, and the potatoes come either hash brown or country home style. All of it was excellent and maybe one of the best breakfast places we are found in a long time. We wish it was closer to Mesquite. Everything was fresh, hot, delicious, and we have no complaints. As far as prices, it isn't the cheapest place but it was a bargain for what all they serve you. We like it so much we came back second day. I had the pork chops the first day and you get two of them and they're so large I took one to the room with me. The second day I had the chicken fried steak and it was huge. A couple people in our party had the breakfast ham and it was maybe an inch thick. We also got some of their homemade salsa on the side and it is excellent. Who knows we might drive all the way from mesquite just to go eat there again. Update: every year we have our reunion at the Texan courts about 3 Mi away in Las Colinas and we wrap up the weekend at Country Cafe. It has become a tradition and we always get good food and great service."
