"I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. The waitress brought me Chicken Fried Chicken. When I brought it to the waitress's attention, she replied in a somewhat callous manner "I heard chicken." That's probably because she simply stopped listening to me after the word chicken. No wonder the place was empty... at noon... on a Friday."
"I ordered chicken fried chicken with onion rings and fried okra, my husband ordered the chicken fried steak with potatoes and corn. The food was fabulously hot and fresh! Our waitress was very friendly. Our only complaint was we would have liked a refill on our drink. I am saddened that such a nice place with hot fresh food was nearly empty. We will be back!!"
"I wouldn’t call it a 5 star restaurant but it was better than 4 stars. So, we will say 4.5. My wife’s steak was amazing. Her baked potato was good but the onion rings left quite a bit to be desired. I had the chicken fried steak and it was one of the better ones that I’ve had in awhile. The veggies were really good as well."
"$3 coffee is becoming the standard these days. Fortunately the coffee lives up to the price. The Corned Beef Hash and eggs with diced potatoes was good. Not quite great, I think if the potatoes had seasoning or felt more fresh than frozen, I would have gone 5 stars. It's a simple interior, clean, and well taken care of. The service was great and friendly if not a bit quite for a Grill or cafe. Overall, a good experience and I will come back my next time in Glen Rose."
