"Had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Incredible 5 they cooked the fries extra time like I asked, so the seasoned fries were awesome as well."

"This place is awesome. The burgers are the best. Staff is awesome as well. It is worth the drive for a burger, pizza, or catfish dinner. You will love this place. They are restocking the store area and bringing in more shelf space to hold more products. Come check it out."

"Tried this place after searching for restaurants in Bowie. It is called the Blue Chair now and shares property with an RV park. We got there around 6 PM and they said they were planning to close early but invited us inside to try them out. The two gentlemen are nice and respectful, it was a little warm inside as to be expected in the middle of summer. The owner said that he just purchased the place a couple months prior so they were in the process of getting their liquor license. The front is a small dining area with a little bar and the checkout area that sells bait. The back is shared by the kitchen, RV/boat supplies, cold drinks, snacks and a lounging area. It's a neat little place. The cook got our drinks for us. The menu is small , which is fine. I ordered a BLT but later was told they ran out of bacon so ordered a burger with pepperjack cheese and jalapenos and planned to share the fries with my BF. The cook asked if we wanted both burgers cooked all the way, which we did (I thought it was an odd question because of the Texas Health Code). It took about 10 mins for him to prep and cook our order. The meat and bun are assembled together and the produce is piled in another section of the plate. The jalapenos came in a small cup. We were told by the owner that he has the best burger in Bowie so I allowed my expectations to be high. I was disappointed- the meat had an 'odd' taste, much like meatloaf with a 'filler' and seasoning we couldn't quite recognize. Neither of us cared for it. The fries were good, nicely seasoned. The taste of the burger meat is why I knocked a star off the rating. The total bill came to about $31 for 2 burgers, one order of fries and 2 drinks. As we were checking out, the cook asked if everything was OK and I said that if he smashed it to give it a good crust, that would have been great! He said the patties they order may not let him do it but he would give it a try. So unfortunately the meat is not a fresh, hand-formed patty which is the reason it did not have that true ground beef taste I was expecting for the best burger in Bowie. For the price we paid, I didn't expect a pre-packaged, pre-formed product for my main meal. Would I go back? Probably not. Their main menu is burgers, pizza, wings which is fine but I had the expectation that it was a little cafe because of the previous restaurants name (which we did not know had changed owners and names before arriving). This will undoubtedly make a great little bar/convenience store that serves typical bar food. It is across the street from a boat launch so I expect the summers will be busy. The owner is having a stage/deck built for live entertainment too."
