"First time at a Steak house in Del Rio and will tell you, I will be coming again. Not only from the parking lot, you can tell the food is good but when you go inside, it gives a chill country vibe. I recommend the Lamp Chop. It was juicy and full of flavor"

"We were a party 9 and we're seated at a table for 10. After about 30 minutes most of our party was there except for 2. The staff came and asked us to move to a table for 6, mind you there was 7 of us at that point. I told them no because we had more coming, hence the big table I asked for. We ordered before the last 2 showed up and when they got there about 10 minutes after we ordered they ordered. Well it seemed that since we did not move the staff was unhappy with us. We watched for 1.5 hrs other tables come, order, get their food and leave all before we got out food or refills on drinks. The 2 that showed up last got their food 25 minutes before we got ours. When my prime rib came it was over cooked, dry, and had little taste. Because I didn't want to wait another hour for them to remake it and worry about someone messing with it I ate it. Others in our group had steaks that were under cooked as well. When the last one in our party finished eating we were given out bills as quickly as possible as if to be told time for us to leave. We were all dissatisfied with the service and food. Extremely disappointed with this place since we're from out of town and we're told that it was a good place."

"I was told this was a great steakhouse, but I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. I will have to revisit for a better review. Food: Decent chicken fried steak but not amazing. Salad was fresh, probably the best part of the meal. Mashed potatoes were ok. Roll was sweet if that's what you like. Come to think of it, even the croutons were sweet, albeit fresh. Service: Like many others state the sevice is very slow. My original waitress seemed to abandon me, but another took over. I was often waiting long periods for refills, to order, etc. It was busy but at half occupancy. Atmosphere: heavy timber cabin vibes. Felt like a tavern themed steakhouse? It's cozy enough but kind of dated. Great for this part of Texas."

"Big shout out to the gentleman who suggested I try this place! I was in Brackett for work but was in a hotel in Del Rio and decided to try Cripple Creek based on a recommendation by a local gentleman. Initially, I was a bit timid but quickly warmed up as the bartender and the gyrl next to me cracked my exterior! The steak.......the steak.....YES! YES! YES! I was tripped out to see an actual "Saloon" and I really wanted to go in and check it out. I will be back in Brackett for work and you can count on me dropping back by here."

"Poor service during my last visit. I was never offered or asked if i wanted a drink when I sat down with my party and ordered. I was able to get a glass of water when food was served, but our waitress never returned to ask about refills for my table, and only returned when we had to chase her down so we could pay to leave. I enjoyed a juicy medium rare sirloin steak with pretty good fried mushrooms, a very fresh salad, and the sweet potato fries seemed pretty decent, but I don't care much for them. Not sure if I'll go back after sitting down with friends for a couple hundred dollar table, and not even being offered drinks or refills, that ruined our entire experience."
