"While doing some documentary photos on the pecos river today. We asked a local fisherman the best place to eat in del Rio. His response, "the best place in del Rio is in Comstock, j and p's, get the devil's burger and don't take off the paper or you'll be wearing it" so based on his advise we tried it. I'm glad we did. It was a VERY good burger, fresh made (not frozen), good jalapeno bread and crispy fries. All in all, VERY good. The local guy was right about the paper too... If not for the paper around the burger, it would have been all down the front of my shirt... Very "hole in the wall, out in the sticks" atmosphere, just like i like it. 2 burgers, 2 fries and two drinks..$32.00. Highly recommended!!"

"We camped at Seminole Canyon State Park for 3 nights just before the new year and had forgotten to thaw out some meat for dinner. A lady at the state park visitor center told us about J and P. My husband and 2 dogs waited for me so I got a to go order. They were a little busy didn't have much staff. Making sure to let me know it would be a little bit of a wait, they took my drink order and gave me those. Even offered me a refill once I got my order. It didn't really take too long. The man and woman working there were super nice and working hard to take care of all the customers. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We both got avocado burgers with fries. They were amazing. The ingredients and cibatta bun were so fresh! We will definitely return when in this area!"
