"This is easily the best fried chicken in Lubbock. Personally, the best l've had. The owner, Robert, is super welcoming and nice and made sure to take care of the whole restaurant. I chose the mixed fried chicken option which was served their trifecta of sides with slaw and a biscuit. The biggest standouts were the biscuit, mashed potatoes with gravy, and very specifically the drumstick, but everything was above and beyond. (I ate the biscuit too fast for a picture). Chicken is salty, savory, juicy, and crispy, which is just perfect. Will absolutely be coming back, definitely worth going out of your way to try it!"

"Today was our first time in, but it won't be our last. The service was fast and friendly. The place looked clean and neat. The food was delicious. Old fashioned like home cooking. We had potatoes and gravy, fried okra, slaw, and biscuits with the chicken. I am looking forward to our next time we get a meal there."

"Simply put! Fantastic! We were greeted promptly, and before you knew it, we were ready to order the menu, which was short and sweet but not lacking a thing! We have had numerous recommendations and finally found what looks to be a normal dinner night in our household! We ordered the all you can eat catfish and chicken fried steak! The fish was so fresh and seasoned to perfection! The chicken fried steak was huge! And wow, did it have a great fry to it! They start you with a simple but fulfilling salad, and you're gonna want extra biscuits just FYI. The sides come portioned to share, and we had 2 servings a piece! So, there is plenty of food. I didn't even make it past the first platter of fish!! It's everything from the country kitchen to grandmas house! It will make your night and I promise you will leave full and satisfied!"

"I took my family here for a late lunch around 2:30 on 12/16. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with explaining the menu and helping us decide our orders. The salad, biscuits, fried green tomatoes, and mac & cheese were served as appetizers. The salad was dressed with ranch dressing, which is not my favorite, but my son and wife enjoyed it. The biscuits came fresh and warm with hot honey that took the flavor to another level. So delicious! The fried green tomatoes were breaded and seasoned wonderfully and cooked perfectly. They were scrumptious. The mac & cheese was cooked well and had well rounded flavors as well, with a hint of sweetness. Very enjoyable. The sides were served family style. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delightful. The green beans were fantastic. But the cream corn was a little too sweet for my liking. We also ordered gizzards, which were fried perfectly and were highly addictive when dipped in the BBQ sauce that accompanied them. That sauce was great! Then the star of the show was the chicken. Perfectly battered and fried. The crunch was there. The flavor was there. The meat was still nice and juicy inside. The chicken was absolutely stunning. You have to experience it yourself. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and had a good time. Side note if you’ve made it this far: they also have delicious diet Dr. Pepper."
