"If you are lucky enough to have "Eddie" working as a cook during your visit, you are in for a treat! He truly cares about the food he is serving and never stops smiling! LOVE his mushroom swiss burgers!"
"Stopped in for lunch with a friend. It has been years since I last visited George's in Lubbock and I was glad to see they have not changed. They are still a good local chain to get some good home style Texas cooking. Nothing fancy, but delicious and at a great price. I had their chicken fried steak and my wife had their grilled pork chop. Both were on the lunch special for $10.99 , which is about the best price I have paid for a restaurant meal in a long time. Our server was very sweet and attentive. If you are in Lubbock and you want some great prices home style cooking in an old cafe style restaurant, then George's should be on your list."
"Food tasted like good ole home cooking . And it was steaming hot when we began to eat, now many places where the food is very hot when served. Owner asked how our food was and was very appreciative of our comment. We will go back for sure !!"
