"I was visiting from out of town with my best friend and her sister recommended this diner. I ordered the fish plate and it was cooked to hard and long. I love seafood but could not eat the plate. I didn't like the veggies. But the waitress made me feel welcomed. Probably will not return if I should visit Lubbock again."

"Not good at all. We came in at about 2pm on a Sunday for lunch. It was extremely crowded and dirty. When we finally got service, the waitress got our salad order wrong and did not give us any straws. The food was not any better. I ordered the catfish, and it was very disappointing. The fish was undercooked and had a raw taste. Also, the waitress did not bother to tell me that they pour gravy on the mashed potatoes. I am a Pescitarian; I cannot eat gravy. They also included a cup of beans mixed with something else. I have no idea if it had meat or not, so that went to waste too. All this time, the wait staff were already moving tables around and cleaning by 2:30pm; 30 minutes before closing. I worked in a restaurant before. We were not allowed to do any cleaning or housekeeping until the last customer left, even if we had to stay late. Given the sloppy preparation of our food and their behavior, it is clear that they were in a hurry to get all of their customers out before 3pm. This restaurant needs to be more considerate of their customers in terms of atmosphere (overcrowding and cleaning while customers are still eating) and dietary restrictions (be more clear/descriptive on the menu)."

"We visited Red Zone Cafe for a late dinner on a Friday. The place was not too crowded and the staff was on the spot for service. We placed our order and the food arrived promptly. The food was great as always. This is one of out "Go To" spots for a good meal at a good price. I hope to see you there."

"Got the Texas nachos & Enchilada plate! Waitress was lovely and checked on us often despite being busy! Atmosphere was amazing, loved hearing and seeing the regulars get checked on. Nice to know some businesses still care for loyalty!! Food was delicious just like the first time we came, can't wait to come back!"
