"Submitted a form for a custom cake online, was told I would receive an email back in 48 hours, 8 days later and nothing! Was trying to get something in for Valentines before they were booked and now no such luck and good luck getting anything anywhere else at this point. Just don’t use their online forms, fair warning, other than that you’ll get an amazing dessert!"

"I want to thank Scarlet, the young lady who answered the phone at the bakery this morning and took my order for a cake. I had to order at the last minute and she was very helpful and kind and let me know upfront that she would do her best to take care of my order, but that limitations were in place due to a full book for the weekend. I am posting this because she wanted to please me as a client but at the same time she operated under the guidelines set forth by her boss. My point? It’s hard to find staff who go to that length instead of just tossing off a client by saying their custom orders were filled. Anyway, besides having the best strawberry cake in Amarillo, Belmar Bakery has staff who seem to genuinely want the best goods leaving their door each day."

"Very disappointed! This used to be my favorite place in the world! As a kid this was such a treat. If mom brought home Belmar we knew something good was happening and we were celebrating. It’s tragic that you have completely lost that special touch that made you Amarillo’s best bakery! You have gone so cheap cutting back on everything to save and cut corners to the point of losing customers you have had for over 40 years! A thumbprint cookie should have icing in the thumbprint! I guess you have two year olds, putting the thumb print! My gosh stop being cheap.!!! it’s icing & it can’t possibly be that expensive and if it is maybe that justifies you charging what you charge! It used to be buy two dozen cookies you get one for free now you get it half price. come on Belmar do better! Consumers are NOT going to put up with this forever! By the way, you have to actually put a thumbprint into the cookie or your icing tends to fall off! Just a tip from someone knew how the old Belmar was! Also, I have memories with my mother find us napoleons. I have tried them several times, and every time I buy them here at Delmar. They are old and not even edible. Please do better. Some of us have been loyal to a fault otherwise I wouldn’t still be coming here. Please care about your customers again!!!"
