"I’m not one to post reviews often, but I also believe you must give recognition when it is due. Last evening (Friday) I was opening our mail and I received a paper from the IN Dept of Revenue stating I owed greater than $1,100. I immediately panicked and emailed my accountant, Brenda Hochstetler. Being it was a Friday night, hours well after her firm closed I assumed I wasn’t going to be able to remedy this until The Accounting Firm opened Monday morning. I knew I was going to worry about this ALL weekend. I went back into my email later that evening and noticed I had a reply from Brenda timed less than 5 minutes after my initial email informing me what I needed to do to take care of this or offering to file it for me (I did not owe it, but I failed to fill out a required form). Saturday morning I received another email stating it was all taken care of! I also have to mention my yearly tax appointment I had scheduled for the middle of March. With all of the “social distancing” guidelines in place, I didn’t have my parents available to watch my three young kiddos as initially planned, nor did I want to bring them in for my appointment. I could have easily dropped them off and left, but I still had a list of questions I needed answered and wanted to meet with her. I handed her my collection of documents needed for her to file my return and was able to stay in the car with my kiddos while she worked on my taxes—thank you for being accommodating on such short notice! This is just two of many examples I felt compelled to share over the greater than 10 years I have been at The Accounting Firm with Brenda and why I continue to drive from out of town to meet with her!"
