"This place came recommended by the locals at Ft Devens. Locals lore around here is pretty interesting, but this place was brought up by everyone. According to legend, it’s built by the soldiers sent to mobilize here. A rock from every state was brought to Fort Devens and the Soldiers wrote down their sweethearts names on them. The monument has stood ever since as a testament to the love that they left behind as the said their goodbyes. At least that’s what the lore is. If you double park to take pictures for your kid, you might meet the local constabulary."
