"This is an important bldg and needs to be restored. But I’m not sure the taxpayers should be giving up more years of taxes for it. It’s ironic that my grandfather worked on the bldg when it was new and it was my first full time job after graduating school."
"Wish we could tour the place, but it's currently under construction. Read in the paper that some company bought it and is turning it into apartments/condos. Hopefully, the pericon falcons come back to nest next year, it was great watching the babies hatch on top of the building online!"
"It's really remarkable for a building of this scale and architecture to also be quite tall. Even more remarkable is how it has remained the tallest building in the city for all the 90 years of its existence and the fact that it is OLDER than New York's Empire State Building by a few years. It's sad that the building has been abandoned for years and that it is in danger of being demolished. There is a website dedicated to saving the building for those who wish to help (Google 'Save Superman' to find the website)."
