"Great spot, plenty of parking and lots of open space. The farmers market is small but has great vendors including the best granola I have ever had in my lifetime. Plenty of open space to have a picnic, throw a frisbee, or just sit in the sun and enjoy the sunshine."

"I recently attended a late season Antique Car Show on the Common. It was well organized, well supervised and drew a very big crowd. There were a lot ok f beautiful cars and lots of interesting people. Nice annual show."
"I feel fortunate to have once lived in Barre many years ago, I lived on Common Street, which was really nice because the common is such a pretty place where you can go for a walk, have a picnic, or whatever else you'd like to do. They have a lovely gazebo, as well as benches to sit & relax and enjoy a book or cup of coffee, alone or with a friend. Plenty of room for kids to run around & play a game of tag, frisbee, or whatever else. I used to also walk my dog here. Conveniently located near two convenience stores/one with a gas station across the street. They also have an ice cream window (seasonal) in walking distance, as well as a small play area just down the road that has a slide & basketball court. Also some shops nearby & places to grab some pizza, a grinder, or other snacks/meals. Barre is a small, quiet town where the people are friendly & atmosphere is nice. I'd definitely recommend living in this town, or just visiting. The common is also close to the town library as well as a bank & the player's club, which is a theatre that features plays."
