Hoosier Chimney Sweep

"After our recent experience with them we will definitely be returning customers for years to come. We called them about some water on our chimney after some recent storms. They were upfront about cost on the phone and quick to schedule. Showed up on time, were super friendly and helpful. Not only did they check on the issue we called about but did a full inspection and cleaning for us. Great people and well priced. I would highly recommend them!"

"Contacted them late October 2021 for an estimate for a new wood stove hook up, Penny was very helpful and courteous on the phone, explaining that their was a 199.00 charge for an estimate but if they did the work it would be applied to the cost of the install. Sounded good to me because we needed the work done , she set up an appointment for November 22, 2021 between 11:00 and 12:00 as she explained it was their busy season and that was the soonest they could come out . On the 22nd of November I texted her at 12:37 to see if they forgot about us she replied that the" tech had ran into a mess on his first job" but would be at our house in 40 mins. Awesome tech showed up 40 mins later and did some measuring and explained the installation process to us, he was here a total of 20 mins. The tech who also was very professional explained that it would take a few weeks to get a sent to us because of how busy they were at the time. When asked how soon work could be complete after we received estimate .he informed us the end of December or the first part of January 2022 He wrote us a receipt and collected 199.00 for the estimate. After not receiving the estimate as we were told we would get in a few weeks, my wife contacted Penny on December 28 to inquire where the estimate was, Penny sent us the estimate on December 30. My wife sent her an email on January 4th to proceed with the work. Never heard back from them. On January 21 my wife emailed again Penny and asked for our money back since they weren't interested in doing the work, and as of February 5 ,2022 no reply or no refund!!! After reading other reviews for this company it feels like they make a good living on charging for estimates with no intention on preforming any work. Feels like a total SCAM"

"Looking for new a new chimney sweep today because Hoosier Chimney Sweep did not call or show up on June 15, 2019. This would have been a 3rd year of them coming to our house. Each time he would talk bad about other chimney sweeps in the area. He recommended modifications 1st time out so I asked him for estimate. He never followed back on his promise, looked at his notes the 2nd time out and talked down to me for not making the changes. So I asked for the quote again...never got it. I am glad he didn't show up or call, I will find a new sweep who is more customer focused. If not clear, I would not recommend this company."

"Highly recommend. Have used Hoosier Chimney Sweep for years. Do a wonderful job. Wood stove is in my living room and its always cleaner when they leave than it was when they arrived. Very reliable, professional and always answer questions I have and give me a detailed information on condition of stove and pipes and give recommendations. Great people."
