"I have been trying to reach this office since January. You never speak to a human. Just voice mail. When I left a message asking if this office was still active and open on a vm, I received a call back. I explained my situation and was told I would get a “scheduled call” at a certain time on a certain day. By attorney Pauline Nicholos. I waited weeks for my scheduled appointment. Took time off from my job so I would have the appropriate amount of time for the person that was going to decide if they could help me or not. Finally the day had come. I waited and waited and then called the number I was given to reach said attorney. (Another VM) go figure. I waited and waited another half hour and now it is 4:30 pm. I again called Pauline. Again a VM. I made a trip to Legal Aid (no wonder they are located in a basement) perfect fit for such an unprofessional office. When I walked in I was not greeted with a Hello, how may I help you. Or one moment please, as she did have a phone to her ear. (Probably listening to hundreds of VM’s) Very unusual I thought since no one ever answers their phone. When she hung up I said, I was supposed to have a phone conference with an attorney at 3:30 yesterday. No one called and no one called this morning to reschedule said appointment.(I do understand emergencies) I was told well she was probably in court. Probably? At 4:30/5pm? When a call could have been made with apologies for being late? I replied, so will I get a call? Yes was the answer. I asked when? Today tomorrow next week? She answered she didn’t know. (Are you not the secretary?) I said I took time off my job to have this conference and you can’t give me an answer? No, she replied. I said how long will this conference take? She replied I don’t know, I’m not there. So this review is for you Pauline, while I realize you make only $500 dollars for your work for the people of our county that cannot afford legal representation, we would be very grateful to have a “working” “professional” office. One that answers their phones, that has a pleasant and professional staff, one the returns calls, and reschedules when you (the attorney that is supposed to be helping us, the community) have missed an appointment time. You know, a functional Legal Aid office. A Senior in HS would be more efficient than the body you have sitting at the desk. If she hates her job so much, maybe you should find someone that would appreciate that job. Smile and be friendly and understanding, have information and answers ready for the people that walk in or maybe since it is a business answer your phones! I would like to say this has been an awesome experience and thank you for your help… that I couldn’t even get an answer on. Instead I will say, get a person that loves their job, and that wants to help the public. Including yourself. Unfortunate that Google doesn’t have - ⭐️ I will update again, if I do not hear back from your office - you in particular. Since your secretary didn’t have the sense to reschedule our appointment."

"I have never in my life dealt with such a unpleasant, unprofessional office ever. Number 1 there's never a secretary to answer the phone. An the secretary makes unprofessional remarks, (personal remarks). The lawyer in March went to court sent 1 letter to my son called me once after I called everyone in the building involved including Judges office. If more people would quit standing in the hall way complaint about there office an filed complaints with the aggrevance committee that over sees her maybe things would get accomplished. It's now 2 months since iveIbeen working on my son's case since can't rely on lawyer. My son has letter stating hesh mentally unstable to hold a job but he still sits in work release for child support owed. Go figure!! Sherman/Cox"
