"Today I took my pup Lucy to a bark above. Saying Lucy is wild would definitely be an understatement. She doesn’t get along with other dogs or people really. I was very hesitant to even take her into the groomers because of this. She is 6 years old and has never been to a professional groomer. From the moment we walked in, the crew at a bark above reassured me that she was in good hands. I just picked her up and I couldn’t be happier with the job that was done! She has never looked so good. I highly recommend a bark above for any pet grooming needs."

"Ridiculous price for a puppy “cut” My wife somehow got swayed into taking the puppy there for what they referred to as a puppy cut. But I was the one tasked with the visit. From the very beginning, I got the sense from the staff, that I should be lucky to have the opportunity to be in this glamorous establishment. I was handed a long pamphlet of their expectations of their customers, and I was asked to make sure I read the whole thing… yeah, right.. Then, to my surprise, it was explained to me that a puppy cut is not really a cut at all. It results in no hair loss, but rather a puppy will get a bath, a hair dry, and a foot rub…. Then, as she noticed my surprise, she followed with what I perceived to be a condescending tone, that it will not be until the next appointment, when they will make the determination if they will do any actual cutting or if once again, the puppy will receive another fluff and a foot rub. Gentlemen… Maybe some ladies out there see this as reasonable, but I’m writing this to spare you a surprise. I can guess the very next question that comes to your minds: How much was such a lavish treatment? Well let me spare you another shocker.. $140 Needless to say that they did not have a second opportunity to determine what service they’re going or not going to perform. She went to a place where a service advertised as a cut actually meant shortening the hair. They did a great job at about half the cost."

"I have a Pomeranian who is elderly and I brought her into the salon for a couple times now and the girls do a great job every time! They treat her so well and she comes home so energetic and happy. I couldn’t ask for a better place to send her, it’s very easy to trust that they are going to do the right things with pets. The customer service is also outstanding, they make sure to let me know how i can help my dog feel better with her long coat in between grooming. Great staff! Great place! Thank you, A Bark Above!"

Nothing beats using small business, it’s much more personal and you can tell the staff has a bond with each dog and client, and don’t get me started on the boutique/lobby! They carry everything from products they use to toys and treats, and have the option to set up my dog with a real spa day with their well designed Spa treatment menu! Such a cute place!"
