"I was in an emergency situation being transported from hospital to hospital. I was put in a "funeral home" ambulance. It had very little padding, no medical stuff that I could see. The bed was so high I couldn't get on so they said they could manipulate it into a chair shape. It was midnight. I was exhausted because of a stroke so I said OK. MY TRIP WAS 2 1/2 hrs to IUMED in Indy. Later X-rays showed that the ambulance with Bad shocks on a road under construction broke my pubic bone and cracked my pelvis. I'm still on a cane. I may be forever. The point of this is to always ask for a medical ambulance. Do NOT ride in a funeral home ambulance. It could break your bone too. I was going to keep quiet about this but it impacts too many people, ill people."
