The Office of Professional Practice at Purdue University is dedicated to providing students with work-integrated learning experiences to enhance their career readiness. Located at 500 Central Drive in West Lafayette, Indiana, this institution offers courses such as ENGR 103: Intro to Professional Practice and various workshops on resume building, cover letters, and interviewing skills. Students also have the opportunity to participate in technical courses like Programming with Arduino and Designing a Smartwatch.

Through partnerships with the Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) and participation in career fairs, students can secure co-op positions with over 400 employers for alternating semesters of classroom learning and full-time work experience. Additionally, programs like GEARE offer international work experiences, with over 550 alumni working around the world.

The Office of Professional Practice also provides opportunities for students to collaborate on Global Design Projects and develop global competencies through the Intercultural Development Inventory. Recently, the OPP team members were honored at the 2023 Staff Awards of Excellence Celebration, showcasing their commitment to student success.
