About the Business

Restoration Ministries Thrift

Restoration Ministries Thrift, located at 14950 Dixie Highway in Harvey, Illinois, is a store that provides important financial support for the organization. With generous donations from individuals and businesses, the Thrift Store offers residents of the south suburbs the opportunity to purchase quality clothes, furniture, appliances, and household items at affordable prices. Revenue generated from sales supports the organization's programs.

Donations can be dropped off at the South Holland Thrift Store or scheduled for a free pick up. The store also offers clean-out services for those downsizing or clearing out estates. Employment training and opportunities are provided for individuals with limited job experience, with residents of Harvey House and Tabitha House acquiring basic job skills at the store.

Working at the store serves as a stepping stone for residents to re-enter the workforce, gain job skills, and build their resumes after completing drug recovery programs. While the store is unable to accept large, older TVs, mattresses, baby car seats, and cribs, donations of other items are greatly appreciated. For more information or to schedule a donation pick up, please call 708-876-8413.

"They double the price as if it’s new. When I can buy a new set for the same price"

"Do not shop here! The manager is the worse she made the mistake of keeping the wrong advertisement on display. When questioned her she said that’s not the sale! I’m like but this is what you advertised. She’s a horrible manager with a bad attitude and the place suppose to be faith based!!!! How? They getting over in the low income neighborhoods with them overpriced items. You can go buy the same stuff brand new with a warranty at the big box stores! You charge $149 for a tv used but I can go get a brand new tv for that same price at a big box store! This place a joke and I will be reporting them to the BBB and Illinois Attorney General’s office!"

"I contacted Kathy in April to schedule a May donation pick up as we were moving out of state and had many items to donate. Kathy's communication with me regarding the items I could donate and confirming pick up date and time was outstanding. The team (2 men) who came for my donation, called the morning of pick up to confirm their ETA. They were punctual, professional, and extremely polite. They had to move several items down a flight of stairs and did so with care and no complaints. I felt very good donating to this wonderful ministry. They helped me by taking furniture, clothing, and kitchen items I no longer needed/wanted and I felt good knowing my items would be put to good use. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND donating to Restoration Ministries."
