"Filled out application. Cost me 90 dollars. I was approved I had the money for deposit but was then told unit would be rented next week after I put March 3 on application. Scott then lied about it. Told me he would keep my application on file for next available unit which is in April but he has not replied to my emails about it. I was ripped off!"

"When I moved in the place was in terrible condition. Bugs lining the wall in my son's(2y/o) room, bugs in the cabinets, so much paint was applied to the apartment that it peeled when I hung up anything, the bathroom(every single time), I showered paint would get all over me and on my son when he bathed. I sent the office a notice before I moved in the condition of the apartment and I was told they would do another walk through....which they obviously didn't do. I lived there a year due to my lease. It was stay and pay by the 5th or I was evicted NO MATTER WHAT, and when I tried to plan to leave it was an obvious 1200 lease break which I didn't have. The leasing agent had lied to be multiple times about parts in the contract that they apparently changed but was not changed in mine. It took almost 2 months to fix my fridge that was leaking and flooding my fridge, causing my food to go bad, when I turned it up everything would freeze.......there is so much more I should add but don't have the time. Please, do not rent from here or Grossman Rentals. They will do anything to get your money then find a way to boot you out ASAP!!"

"I am writing this review as the family member of a former tennant there. This place is not worth the time! It has a horrible roach problem. And then they want to accuse someone of a dirty house being the reason why. I helped clean the place up before anyone came over and they still complained about the cleanliness. Things were constantly breaking down! The stove's burner didn't work and it had been painted in places, the tub was messed up. Leakage from upstairs has caused mold to grow in the closet ceiling. The list goes on and on. Maintenance would never fix anything. Staff members do let themselves right on in. Someone walked right in as my brother was sitting on the couch. I highly suggest to anyone please consider all your options before moving into this place. Do not rent from Grossman! The apartments are slums and you can do much better!"

"Almost moved here with my wife over a year ago. I'll preface my story by saying that my deposit was returned after the dispute, so I cannot hold that against them. However, our experience was awful. We inquired about a two bedroom apartment but eventually settled for a one bedroom apartment when the two bedroom wasn't available. Scott was very adamant about getting me in the door. He rushed through the entire process; from the phone calls, the paperwork, etc. Fast forward to the day we pick up the keys and we ask if we can see the apartment before our move in day the following day. The lady working in the office acted a little apprehensive and said "Yeah... but it's being cleaned right now...". And it was, by some kid rubbing a dry sponge up and down the wall. The place was a mess but we trusted them to clean it. The day of our move in we head over to the apartment to get ready to move in. The apartment smelled like chemicals, mouse droppings, roaches, and urine. There was mold everywhere, the carpets we're stained like a dog gave birth on them, the sinks had mold and roaches underneath, the tub look's like it was assaulted by a cheese grater, handles on doors were broken, light fixtures were falling, and the place smelled like death. I called Scott right away and explained everything I saw and how I couldn't live there, or even raise a baby in that environment. He said "Okay", told me to drop my keys in the drop box, and I'll get my deposit back in the mail. I got the deposit back, for what it's worth. I don't see how anyone is okay with leasing out a glorified dumpster. With roaches running across the parking lot, you're in for a treat here. Go anywhere but here! A cardboard box sitting in the dump would be a better alternative to these crumby, infested, health hazard apartments."

"I would really give them -100 stars if I could. This place is a dump. Roach infested from day one and management doesn’t spray. The apartment was dirty upon moving in, it hadn’t been cleaned or painted prior so we had to call management to come clean the apartment. The furnace smelled like urine when it was turned on, the linoleum in the kitchen was ripped, light bulbs were burned out, the tub and surround were so old it wouldn’t come clean, and the carpet in the bedroom wasn’t even tacked down so when you vacuumed the carpet pulled up. Upon moving out the unit was cleaner then when we moved in, patched all the nail holes, and cleaned everything thoroughly. I get the deposit check back today and they deducted $46 for one broken mini blind and 3 burned out light bulbs. I called to discuss this with Scott and he tells me that’s what they charge. I told him blinds are $5 at Walmart and a 4 pack of bulbs is $1. He proceeds to tell me he’s not going to argue with me and I can take him to court because they have pictures. Ok so I’m not disputing the blind was broken or the bulbs were put I’m disputing the astronomical amount they’re charging but ok. I let him know that with no move in or move out checklist I can take him to court and get my whole deposit back plus court costs. He then says I’m not arguing with you and hangs up on me....again. Yes, again. I called him back after he hung up the first time. Very unprofessional. I guess I’ll see him in court if that’s what he really wants. DO NOT rent from these slumlords unless you are absolutely homeless and can’t afford to live anywhere other than under a bridge because it’s not worth it."
